Communication.

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Effective communicating and listening both begin with language.

Are you proactive or reactive in your language? Between stimulus and response, you have the freedom to choose. This is one of your greatest powers. One of the most important things you choose is what you say. Your language is a good indicator of how you see yourself.

A proactive person uses proactive language—“I can, I will, I am, I prefer,” etc.
A reactive person uses reactive language— “I can’t, I must, if only.”
Reactive people believe they are not responsible for what they say—they have no choice.

Think of a situation in your life during the last week when you responded in a reactive way. Write down and describe what you said.
Now think of a proactive response you might have used in the same situation. Write it down, just for practice.

Make it a point to really listen to your language during the next 21 days.
Is your language more proactive or reactive?
Is your language different between work and home life?
Is your language increasing your sales or is it turning your buying customers off?

The old saying goes, “Be careful what you wish for…”
I say, “Be careful what you say; it could become a self fulfilling prophecy

Until next time I wish you continued success and prosperity…
Good Luck everyone…

Oneness

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

Hello Everyone,
Today’s thought; Oneness
As we approach the many Holy-days of December I’m reminded of how much we all have in common with each other during this time of the year. I believe we are all connected, we are all children of God and we are all One and that we all have many things in common all year long… But it’s this time of the year when you can see a difference in the faces of people around us.  It’s this time of the year when we tend to smile more, hug more and laugh more.
And that brings me to this blogs thought on Oneness. Think about it; Oneness… We are all connected to each other and to everything. The majority of Earths civilizations believe in a Higher Power and that we were all created by a Higher Power so wouldn’t it be safe to say we are all connected by this Higher Power? And, since we are all connected by this Higher Power, wouldn’t it be safe to say that we are all family and as family members we share in each others joys and sorrows?  And if so, would it be OK to ask; why do we bestow so much pain on each other?
This is my truth and it doesn’t have to be yours but I do believe we are all one big family. I do believe we are all connected to a Higher Power and that this Higher Power would love to see us enjoy our Oneness with each other here on Earth. The Kabbalah teaches “that it’s not about how much you love a person when you love them; it’s about how much you love a person when you hate them.”  That’s powerful man!!! With all do respect I ask everyone to contemplate this teaching. No matter what your religious or political beliefs are please take a moment and look at the people around you… Are we really that different?  A smile, a tear, the sound of laughter, the sound of cries these are universal communications that everyone understands no matter what language you speak. Why; because we are all One and we are all connected.
Why not send a “Oneness Star” to one of your friends or family members and remind them of their Oneness. The Oneness Star makes for a beautiful and thoughtful gift all year round. Our Oneness Star Glass Art interweaves the Heart of Humanity with the Star of David and it’s beautiful. The Oneness Star Glass Art is only available on-line so if you’re shopping for a gift to send someone that will remind them of their Oneness with everyone and everything please visit our site at  www.inSacredSpace.com to order your Oneness Star.

Home is Where the Heart is…

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Hello Everyone,
Today’s thought; Home is where the heart is….
With the Holidays upon us people are decorating their homes, shopping for the perfect gifts and attending Holiday parties. The old saying “Home is where the Heart is” is very appropriate.

If you have family members or friends who can’t be with you this holiday season let them know you’re thinking of them by sending one of our “Home is where the Heart is” note cards. You can add your special message or memory of Holidays past that will certainly put a smile on their face and warmth in their heart.

Our “Home is where the heart is” note card can be sent anytime of year but seems to have a more treasured meaning around the Holiday Season. “Home is where the heart is” is a reminder for me that no matter where I am, I am home…

Here’s a tip; you can send our “Home is where the heart is” note card to our troops serving over seas, students attending universities far away or even friends and family members who can’t be home for the Holidays… Truly, Home Is Where The Heart Is…

“Home is where the heart is” is available as a note card, a 4X12 or 10X20 matted designage art or in one of our 4 Blessing Sets… By the way; our Blessing Sets make wonderful gifts too…

“Home is where the heart is” products are available on line or in stores. Please check our locations page to see where the closest store to you is located!!! If you know of a store where you’d like to see our products sold please to tell them about us and our website; www.inSacredSpace.com.

Take care everyone and until next time have a blessed day!!!

inSacredSpace.com has the perfect note card to say Thank You; it’s our Gratitude note card. The Gratitude note card has the word Gratitude on the front of the card and it’s blank on the inside so you can write your special message of Gratitude.
Here’s a tip; show your Gratitude by writing your Thank-You note on our Gratitude card and then place the card on a tray with Doughnuts or Bagels to share with your co-workers or others who have provided excellent service to you.
