Word Power!

Hopeful you all have had and are experiencing the blessings of the Holy Days. I am also wishing you a Happy New Year filled with abundant blessings!!!

If you have spent any time browsing our site you may have noticed that my art is centered in the messages of words and symbols. Words and symbolic messages are so very powerful and stimulate a multitude of feelings and intentions to those who are expressing them as well as to those who are receiving them.  We’ve all heard the old adage ’sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me’. Like most of us, I myself have experienced the pain of ’sticks and stones’ and have healed with time and proper care. Again, like most of us…I have also experienced words that defy the old adage. Words can cause more pain than sticks and stones, and in some cases, never heal. These painfully damaging words can lead to a lifetime of illness on all planes… body, mind and spirit. Proof of this is being revealed through the science of quantum physics more and more everyday.

I recall reading Deepak Chopra’s book many years ago ‘Ageless Body - Timeless Mind’ as some of the ‘first scientific evidence’ of this fact made available to the public. It was life changing for many people including myself. He talked about two different people riding a roller coaster. One of them was thrilled and exhilarated, the other frightened and sickened by the ride. The thrilled person was releasing hormones/chemicals, etc., they were immune stimulating etc., and the frightened person was releasing hormones/chemicals, etc., they were immune depressing. This scientific evidence was proof that what we are ‘feeling’ had a major impact on our physical bodies.

With that said, I would like to suggest that this new year we all make a commitment to ourselves to take a serious look at the words we choose to use and the energy driving them. Not just in what we say to others but also in what we say to ourselves. Pause and think about our words…choose them wisely. There is great power in the pause.

I recently had the honor and privledge to be interviewed on a similar topic where I was able to share a little about Dr. Emoto’s work with ‘The Messages in water’ https://www.hado.net/index.php. The interview will be playing on the internet show/website Chikii~woman to woman http://www.chikii.com/.   I was able to share my perspective on a word that is/has been used to describe a woman (not a word I like the energy of), the show is titled ‘Are you a B-I-T-C-H?  http://www.chikii.com/areyouabitch.php I’ve been told the show will be airing for about a week, please take the time to view it and share it with anyone you think may benefit, I feel it is a poitive show and something I am pleased to share.

I’m signing off on this entry feeling deep Love, Joy and Appreciation for all of life’s experiences and people. I am demonstrating this feeling by using the word and energy of Namaste’… a Sanskrit word with a variety of interpertations, but a word that does not have a one word English interpretation. I am using it to energetically say to you that ‘The Divine in me acknowledges and recognizes the Divine in you. May you share and experience Divinity in 2007 and always…in all ways.

As I like to do, I’m including a photo of one of my new designs that incorporates this energetic concept for you to use a re-minder tool.

    Hi Sandra:

I did get a chance to view your interview on Chikii Woman to Woman with Shay Pausa, today.

I found it very interesting, as I am one that does not embrace the term “Bitch” as a “compliment” coming from others. I find it to be “derogatory” and “unkind” when spoken for the most part. I am an empowered woman and I have been in the corporate world as an empowered woman and I do not recall ever being called that word by anyone. I would not have taken it as a “compliment” if I had….

There are other words “empowered women” can describe themsleves with and I feel those who embrace the word “Bitch” are doing so, in a way, to turn the “hurt” around by saying “I am being called that because I am empowered.” It is my opinion, that most of the time a woman is called that word, is because they are not being or have not been very “considerate” of others in how they have handled a situation. IF they would have taken a “kinder” approach, then they may have not been called that word.

It has been my experience, that most people use that term in an angry way, so your conversation with Shay was RIGHT ON , when you referred to the vibration that the word “Bitch” creates. It can depend on how it is said and the intention behind it, but I do think there are many Higher Vibrational Words that could be embraced.

Thank you for your courage in bringing this topic up with Shay. as I know she has wonderful intentions with her work.

From one Empowered Woman to Another!

    Happy New Year!

Thanks Christy, I appreciate your wise and wonderful comments!

I agree with the ‘kinder’ approach you mentioned. I also feel that to accept the title ‘Bitch’ as one to discribe an empowered woman is a sort of ‘cover up’ to hide the pain of the mean and insulting intentions hidden behind the delivery of the title from someone who may just simply not like having a woman boss or not aggreeing with a decision made by the woman etc. My energetic observations have been that the person calling someone by the title as if it was a compliment is behaving passive agressively. I also know that we all are helping women and girls in general as well as the the collective consciousness just by bringing this kind of topic up for discussion.

Christy, I honor you, Shay and all the other women on her site for the courage to discuss it calmly and intelligently. To honor each others perspective with respect is definitely taking the higher road.
    Namaste`

I’ve been using e-mail for so long that I forgot what it was like to send a Thank You card in the mail. I’ve started sending the Gratitute card to all of my customers as a thank you card and the response is amazing… My customers love the cards!!!
I feel good knowing I took the extra time to say “thank you” in writing instead of an e-mail…
